Jill P. Clapp, Director
A native of Illinois, Jill came to California to study education at Concordia University in Irvine, where she met her husband, Allen. She received her B.A. and began work on her master’s degree there. Jill has been at St. Paul since 1990 and has been director since 1996. She enjoys hiking, animals and playing bass guitar in St. Paul's Praise Band.
Desola was born in England and raised in Nigeria. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Desola has five lovely daughters and one son. Four of her children have attended St. Paul CDC. She has been a part of the staff since 2001. Desola loves to read, knit, sew, and attend Bible Studies.
Maria, born in Puerto Rico, has more than 20 years of home day care experience. She speaks English and Spanish. Maria serves the CDC as administrative assistant and as a teacher. She has three beautiful daughters and welcomed her first grandchild, Eryk, in 2008. Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, along with reading and cleaning.
Amanda was born and raised in the Bay Area. She received her associate’s degree from Mission College and is working toward an Early Childhood Education degree. She enjoys reading, photography, baking and spending time with her family, friends and cat.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County, Karla received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Saint Mary’s College of California and her master’s degree from the University of Wales. She enjoys singing, writing songs, playing the ukulele, reading and spending time with her husband and seven pets.
Shellie grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She and her husband, Mark, have lived in the Bay Area for 20 years. Shellie has a degree in education and previously taught at Bethel Lutheran School in Cupertino. She enjoys spending time with her three active sons.
